Mauldslie Bridge Repairs

Client:

Scottish Water

The Story

Spanning the River Clyde, the historic Mauldslie Bridge required critical structural intervention to ensure its continued safety and load-bearing capacity. Go-Wright Ltd was tasked with delivering a civil engineering solution that combined modern structural reinforcement with traditional masonry aesthetics.

Our Technical Approach

Working in a challenging environment over water, our team focused on the structural integrity of the bridge’s arches and piers. We utilised:

  • Masonry Stabilisation: Implementing advanced reinforcement techniques to secure the historic stonework.
  • Structural Stonework: Replacing and repairing heavy-duty masonry units to withstand the demands of modern infrastructure.
  • Civil Engineering Excellence: Managing site safety and environmental considerations to ensure a robust, long-term repair.

The Result

This project highlights our specialist capability in civil engineering. By blending engineering precision with stone conservation, we restored a vital piece of local infrastructure without compromising its historic silhouette.
