The Challenge

Mar Hall, a prestigious 5-star luxury hotel, spa, and country retreat, required extensive electrical upgrades across its wellness facilities, external grounds, marquee, and back-of-house areas. The works needed to be delivered to the highest standards of quality and safety, while the hotel remained fully operational and welcoming paying guests. Minimising disruption and maintaining the guest experience throughout the project was a critical consideration.

The Solution

GWL Electrical worked in close collaboration with Mar Hall’s management to meticulously plan and phase the works. The team undertook a full rewire of the pool, gym, and yoga room, installing energy-efficient lighting, a Sonos sound system, and a comprehensive CCTV network. For the estate’s extensive grounds, GWL designed and installed bespoke external lighting to enhance both safety and ambiance, illuminating the fountain, gardens, and pathways with elegance. In the marquee and back-of-house areas, GWL upgraded all electrical infrastructure to ensure seamless functionality for events and daily operations. All works were scheduled flexibly, with teams working discreetly and efficiently to avoid disruption to guests and staff.

The Result

Mar Hall now benefits from state-of-the-art wellness facilities, beautifully illuminated grounds, and robust, reliable electrical systems supporting both front-of-house and behind-the-scenes operations.
